Godzilla sure has stubby feet.

We don't know that it is sentient even. If it hasn't been turned on then it cannot have any opinion in the matter.

Or fold it into it's own operating system.

Clearly, Hydra is behind the Decima Conspiracy and we'll have to wait for the Person of Interest/ Agents of SHIELD crossover to find out what will happen.

We all know Rob didn't care for the Nu Trek. This post doesn't particularly focus on his dislike. There's one sentence where he tempers his "this is really cool" enthusiasm with his "I didn't really care for the movie" starting point. I hardly think that categorizes this as a Bash Trek post.

I'd bet a lot of these people who died were people with undiagnosed sleep apnea or another sleep disorder.

Do we really need a gritty, realistic reboot of the gritty, realistic reboot of a campy 70's space opera?

Agreed on all counts. As I'vr said before, I just wish this incarnation of Cosmos didn't make me feel like an old man inviting kids to get off of my lawn.

The woman is Trillian, I'd wager.

I'm OK with Arya going full-blown psycho magic-powered terminator.

Oh How I disagree with you about the Green Lantern thing. A guy like Mal Reynolds might have all the willpower in the world, but it isn't going to save him in the face of the overwhelming firepower of the Alliance or the eat-your-brains savagery of the Reavers. In those instances, his willpower would provide the means…

Translation of Pacific Rim 2 comments: "We're waiting to see how much money Godzilla makes before we decide if we want to jump in with our own sequel."

If they wanted to do this as a series on Nickelodeon, or as a series of short films in front of other movies, I might not hate it.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

I've been disappointed by NdGT's Cosmos so far. It's treading over ground covered in the original series, but without the grace and poetry of Sagan's version. Look up Sagan's discussion of artificial selection— the story of the Heike crabs, and tell me Tyson's dog story is anything but a pale reflection.

I remember reading about this in "My Weekly Reader" when I was in third grade in like 1971. My teacher went through all the same "can we/should we" arguments back then. I'm still not convinced we can, so I'm not worried about the should part.

I'm with you in large part.

Would the Key to Time qualify?

No, it looks fine except for that one bit where you seemed to start talking like Hulk. "Big budget not gurantee entertainment" I like it though.
