I would like someone to swipe my FunBit(tm)

sorry, I don't get it/

Agreed. And like the characters on Seinfeld, the inherent unlikability of the characters eventually turned me off.

That's OK but the book wasn't even the first iteration of the story. I believe the original radio plays were the "original" Hitchhiker's Guide.

The 302: Electric Boogaloo.

I think we are supposed to like Hank. He's a little repressed, and little old fashioned, but he stands up for what's right snd is loyal to his friends. Most of the people around him don't deserve him. Bobby's a good character, and I liked khannie.

Douglas Adams himself said that each iteration of Hitchhiker's Guide should be considered a separate work and should not be compared to previous versions.

She's Trillian in exactly the same way Zooey Deschanel is.

Peggy Hill is a bad example. She was an actively unlikeable character. Case in point—the episode where she pretends to be a nun to get a teaching job for which she is not qualified.

Your eternal pessimism is what I like about you Rob.

Thank you!

More importantly, what's the "hover-text"?

Do you read what you write?

Sorry I just don't see bullshit. This may not ever take place, but what business anywhere ever hasn't done anything it could to reduce costs. Tell me again why my bosses shouldn't hire a secretarial pool and buy typewriters to prepare contracts with.

So what's the solution then?

The same things can happen to delivery trucks. The driver could hit a pedestrian, a Lamborghini, and could even smash into a house.

Yeah, especially when they've already done this in STTNG. I remember one episode where they "extrapolated" an image of a person's face using An image where he was standing behind someone else with his face blocked.

That's certainly what he appears to have meant. I still think we're going to get more hints that there is something else in play.

I may be out on a limb here, but I'm wondering if there isn't about to be a supernatural element to this show.
