Personally it’s disgusting that you would insinuate that the Cubs have a reptilian bias when this website itself has proven that they’re owned by several fucking snakes.
Finally, the discourse I crave: breaking down the winners and losers of the 6th episode of a show aired by the company that owns the website.
It’s nigh impossible to find a least-favorite Modern Journalism Trope, but referencing a subject’s “revenue streams” and “business savvy” because they’re cool and rich enough to get their ideas listened to by less cool but richer people is in my Top 10.
Came here to say something similar. One of the Top 10 breakfast dishes I’ve ever had is a soft shelled crab Benedict. There’s room for fish at breakfast, usually in Benedict form.
100%. Any policy--either intentionally applied or unintentionally--that removes something that so clearly drives so much attention to their product is a failure of a policy.
This is excellent stuff, man. We’re really starting to see the multitude of ways the juiced/new balls are impacting pitchers, and it ain’t pretty.
It’s egregious on the level of criminal that MLB is juicing their balls and refusing to take measures to protect fans. It’s hard to find league-wide statcast averages, but scrolling through the average exit velocity rates by player, the numbers tick upward year-over-year at the beginning and the end of the list. That…
But at least those guys are good and cool on the court. Kanter’s game sucks and his comments about other players are the lowest form of try-hard trolling.
On one hand, I respect and have sympathy for Enes Kanter for his politics and his situation regarding Turkey. On the other hand, there’s no current athlete that I want to shut the fuck up more than him. He is absolutely the most annoying player in the NBA.
Well, probably 3 in my top 5 (LA, OOS/OOA, ALLTP) of Zeldas are 2D, so I’m with you.
That’s fair. Maybe I just think about that draft more than the average fan because I’m a Panthers fan. Even though I’m Extremely Pro Cam Newton, I always “What-If” that pick because of how much talent was in that first round. But you’re exactly right overall. That draft wasn’t even a decade ago, and there are only 2-3…
I was sticking to 1st rounders, but yeah, the other QB to reach the Super Bowl as a starter in that draft was a 2nd round pick, and as others have pointed out, Richard Sherman was a 5th rounder that year. Insane.
I was sticking to 1st rounders, but yeah, there were some absolute gems in the later rounds as well.
That’s a shame, because the 2011 NFL Draft is one of the best in the last 20 years. An MVP QB taken at 1, a superstar DE who won a Super Bowl MVP at 2, and a slew of great-to-excellent players taken after that (JJ Watt, Patrick Peterson, Julio Jones, AJ Green, Tyron Smith, Cameron Jordan, and others). Excellent draft.
Yeah, I’m with you. I’m more inclined on betting on Kyrie’s talent and him shutting up for a year than Russell continuing to get better. Kyrie just put together one of the most efficient seasons for a PG in recent memory. Even if he gets on your nerves, you can probably flip him for equal or greater value.
finally: the funbag says mayo rights.
I don’t think you can sign-and-trade for another sign-and-trade. But Durant doing the Chris Paul and opting in with the winkwink deal of a max lined up after his option year expires is certainly a thing I can see happening.
To me, there are two difficult questions that you have to answer 100% correctly. First, is Russell better, or did he just kinda hit more shots and he’s prone to regress? If you think he’s actually better, keep him and send Kyrie to hell. Secondly, do you think Kyrie’s consecutive locker room meltdowns were Just A…
