There’s no doubt about that— he averaged like 2 blocks a game this year. But most gigantic dudes like Brook get feasted on in space, which is why the NBA is a much smaller league than it was even 15 years ago. Lopez moves his feet well enough to not absolutely die in space, and the Bucks typically try to scheme it so

But who’s that guy gonna be? Do you really trust Jeremy Lin to kick off all the rust and outplay Malcolm Brogdon in bench minutes? I just don’t think the Raptors have the depth. Nurse was clearly content to go down with the ship—playing 4 starters 40+ minutes—and it didn’t work. Best-case scenario for them is that

This is why I picked the Bucks to win. Giannis and Kawhi probably even each other out, with probably just a hair of an edge to Giannis due to the additional home game (and the additional game of home-court calls).

Ken Tremendous didn’t die for this.

This was particularly hard to watch as a Spurs fan. Partly because of the extremely testy and awkward breakup over the summer, but mostly because we knew he had this in him. The 2017 Spurs were flawed. We know this because the post-Kawhi Spurs have been a mid-40s win team instead of the 60+ monster they were in 2017. D

Hey, man: that sucks! I’m really sorry to hear that.

See Snail Mail. I promise you. Incredible show, and they’re still small enough right now that you can see them in more intimate venues. I saw them in what was basically a bar last summer, and am seeing them at one of my city’s smaller clubs in August. Lindsey Jordan kicks ass and they’ll be all over America this

Do you still stand by your 2017 takes, based on how Russ, Kawhi’s and Harden’s games have evolved in recent years?

I’m only a casual hockey guy (I like the NBA and basketball in general too much to get distracted by another sport in the winter), but as a native North Carolinian, I’ve hopped back on the bandwagon for the ‘Canes. And man, it didn’t REALLY hit me how fucking stupid fighting was until Svechnikov got bodied by Ovi in

100%. I’m on record on this very site discussing my displeasure for how replay is implemented. I think it might actually go so poorly that the NFL scales back replay, which I think would be a positive change.

What do you think the next big change to any of the 4 major sports will be that fundamentally changes how the game is played? It can be a rule adjustment or a new style of play. I think the NBA is going to change the 3-point line in the near future, and I think we’ll have switch-pitchers by the mid 2020s. Thoughts?

When the mascot/human war is happening and Robin Lopez has to kill Mascot Brook

You forgot Graham, who is admittedly a tough one to rank. Depending on the day he’s on either side of The Bus.

I really think we’re approaching a breaking point with replay. Every fist that’s implemented these rules in every sport has been a ham. Nobody likes how replay is used in any sport, lest your team benefit from a ridiculous review, in which case: I implore you to think about the bigger picture.

i will NOT back down, no matter what facts and logic are sent my way!!!!!!

god damn it, the answer is 1 you blithering freak holes!!!!!!! De’Aaron Fox should be jailed for making me relive 2014 Facebook debates!!!

Here’s the plan: start by being loudly wrong about a political topic. It doesn’t matter what, just SCREAM that dumb opinion. When people call you an idiot, double-down and blame the backlash on “PC culture”. After that, you’re just one pitch on “actually, [foreign war] is good” away, baby!

Ah, well, fuck off then to you too!

Oh I know. But this is pure TERF logic and it’s awful. And, as you said, there’s a natural and very bigoted endpoint to this line of thinking.

[with a megaphone, from the top of the highest building] GET FUCKED, TERFS!!!
