truly one of our great contemporary wackadoo NBA careers.

Oh yeah. This season either ends in “Holy Crap Can The Celtics Give The Warriors A Run?” or “Holy Smokes The Celtics Just Got Trounced By The Pacers In The First Round!” with almost no in-between.

I remember back in early 2016, NBA Twitter lost its entire head over this random dude’s NBA blog about Andrew Wiggins being a bust. In it, the thesis was basically “Wiggins is missing serious NBA checkpoints for a No. 1 pick, and it’s highly likely he’s going to top out at OK rather than All-NBA, which is a huge

I feel like there are certain players that have a certain playstyle/skill level that just age them dramatically in the general NBA’s eyes. Like heck, he’s a little over a month OLDER than Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and only 4 months YOUNGER than Anthony Davis !

I really think this team is Hayward looking like himself again for 2 months away from turning the corner and just going “haha, winning cures all!”.

Ah, ok, I see where you’re coming from.

this isn’t technically true though, right? Unless I’m misunderstanding you. LeBron was last eliminated before the Finals in the summer of 2010, when the Cavs lost to the Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semis. That means the 2010 Suns, Lakers, Celtics and Magic all played playoff games after him that year.

I love this story. It brings me back to my rehearsals in Wind Ensemble for state festival! I, too, LOVED my band director from high school—he’s literally the only teacher I keep up with on Facebook. Truly, thank you for sharing that! A great band director can make a huge difference.

This is excellent, my dude. I think a lot of our experiences with being in a a serious orchestral band or symphony topped out at max 19. I know mine did!

Ex Band Geek here. I ask you, Mark. Next time you’re in a room with even 5 other people. Ask them all to count to 10 in their head and then clap once they get to “10". I would bet you $100 you get a cascade of people clapping at different times.

Yeah, i’ve been thinking about that. The thing that the Celtics have always had over anybody else in the AD race is a bonafide blue chip young player (Tatum) and some truly solid draft capital. Those two together are pretty much an iron-clad deal. You do that if you have the subsequent talent left on your roster

lol, c’mon man. Sure, they TRIED to resolve it, but she’s under no obligation to negotiate with a brand for stealing her content beyond what she did. After initially trying to get proper credit (which she didn’t get), she used the legal method available to her and filed a copyright infringement claim on her IP.

Kyrie’s 2020 is a Player Option which he will certainly decline so he can enter Free Agency. MAYBE the Celtics get lucky and he gives them the Chris Paul deal (I’m opting in, but you’re trading me because I wanna go to a team over the cap), but that seems unlikely.

Kyrie is a free agent this offseason, so the Celtics would be unable to trade him to New Orleans for Davis. If Kyrie has one foot out the door (which I think he does), then Boston probably won’t trade for AD and will just keep their young players.

Now playing

Car Seat Headrest owns. They were one of my favorite concerts I saw last year.

I mean, they WERE dick moves, but he’s allowed to make them and I don’t fault Kobe for doing them. Everybody has a right to exercise the leverage they have to improve their professional situation. That also doesn’t mean that we can’t criticize how their methods in doing so and how they seemingly reflect their

At the end I straight-up said that it was basically fine for Kobe to do that, but to deny the same mechanisms he exploited early in his career from a young player makes him a big ole hypocrite.

Bingo

My brain read “Spa-Gate” as a super stereotypical Italian pronunciation of “spaghetti” (spah-get). Yes, my brain is broken. No, I won’t do anything to fix that.

Ah Kobe: the Commitment God. What’s your favorite time Kobe was completely loyal to his commitment and didn’t use whatever leverage he had available to him to improve his situation?
