Honest question: how much does it cost to maintain a Ferrari of this era?

Didnt ask, dont care.

I am a HUGE NASCAR fan and LOVE to go to races for the event of it all....but watching on TV is actually way easier to follow after 1 or 2 laps. On lap 36, its somewhat hard to keep track and the on-track leaderboard is a bit behind from real world so it can be a little confusing without an audio headset.

Who do you know that has kept a vehicle for 15 years? My bet is about 2 people. Now how many people do you know with vehicles?

Yup. Its actually hard to find a car that isnt reliable for the warranty period. If you have any sort of sense on how to treat a car, almost anything that you buy new will last at least 5 years with just scheduled maintenance. Cars are simply the most reliable they have ever been.

Yup. If my wife didnt care about what type of car she drove so long as it had nice seats and room for kids, I would buy a Land Cruiser and forget about another vehicle for her for at least 10 years. And once she is finally ready to move on, it will go to one of the kids. This is the life of 90% of LC (actually Toyota

Or that fleets replace their vehicles after 2-3 years of service......ever wonder why the first trucks you see of any generation are mostly on a jobsite with flashing lights? Then in a few months the masses all have the Kind Ranch edition?

Exactly. People that buy new cars do it often or very rarely. There are not a ton of people who pay off their vehicle and drive it for another 5 years. There is a huge gray period between new car buyers because of this....you have at one end the person who will get a new car every 2-4 years and then at the other you

I think the biggest takeaway here is how long the OWNER keeps the car, not how long the CAR stays on the road. Perhaps its a cultural things...if your boring and only want to shop for a car every 20 years, then get a Toyota or Honda. If you want some actual style in your life, perhaps look at other brands.

Yup, same here. Had to have a parent/person who had been licensed for at least 5 years in the front seat for 3 months (and no driving at night). Then transition to daylight hours without parent for the next 6 months. Then if you have passed drivers ed, could take the test and get a restricted. If you hold your

When I think of shitty takes, I think of you. Perhaps you should have a dream, the will to put aside other things to complete that dream, the drive to begin that dream, the determination to continue that dream, the persistance to never give up on that dream, and the strength to complete that dream.

Stock means unmodified. Its is in its STOCK form. It came STOCK without a roll cage. It came STOCK without race harnesses. Its is unsafe to run anything stock in wheel to wheel racing on a NASCAR speedway.

Ronin didnt shape an entire generation of car culture. So action movie vs community significant movie.

I lived in Montana for a while with 80mph limits. It was great. And not a lot of people went over 80mph because cops would nail you for going 84mph. Its hard to maintain close to 80mph for any period of time and NOT feel like your going “fast” so I completely agree thats seems like the natural number for most people.

Soooo this is just a normal Z06? My grand-pappy always told me to never drive his Z06 as it was my guaranteed retirement in 40 years.

Brown people, amirite? People not-like-us…

Peak Nick Cage is “Bad Lieutenant”.... my god was that the weirdest and worst thing to ever be put on film.

Yup, I heard one rogue tire sequel in the opening scene for Ronin. Turned that shit off immediately. Then there was that one time I almost watched Gone in 60 Seconds....but then I heard a Windsor block in place of a proper big block and decided to burn my entire entertainment center.

Having fun chasing me around the comments section?
