I was leery of the same issue before I installed one. Turns out, it didn't require much fiddling at all to learn a basic schedule that we like. Sure, some days we'll manually (and by manually, I mean over an iPhone) go up or down a few degrees if that would make us more comfortable.

It doesn't seem to be very different from the 1.0 (other than being a bit slimmer and sleeker), except for one very important change:
