Kids and adults are hardly ever the same. I can reconcile animated and live action Ashoka because the former was young and full of kid energy while the latter is her grown up; there wasn’t much animated grown up Ashoka for us to get used to. What’s harder for me to reconcile is animated and live action Clone Wars

I can’t believe I didn’t connect the dots on how it was “K”-pop.

I mean, La’an overtly mentions sea shanties, and yet they didn’t think of using Orion pirates to sing one..

You haven’t heard K-pop until you’ve heard it in the original Klingon.

That was ridiculous and insane and I loved it.

I genuinely was dreading it, but it won me over. Whatever flaws it had (uhhhh like that maybe half the cast is not particularly gifted in singing) was overridden by how likeable everyone is on this damn show. Will I rewatch it anytime soon? No. And it was long, but there are definitely worse ways to resolve some

I release you from the grays!

Absolutely hilarious. I laughed every time.

I’ll admit I didn’t hate the movie, but I didn’t love it either. I fucking hated Crystal Skull. I could cut 30 minutes from this film easy, but still it wasn’t terrible. I love Phoebe Waller-Bridge, she’s a sexy, sexy woman, and holds her own here.

This article is wonderful. Thank you.

It’s wonderful to read these stories. Link’s name comes (apocryphally?) from him being designed to be a player’s ‘link’ into the game world. It’s wonderful that as that world, and the character, have been afforded greater definition through technology and design norms iterating, that thoughtful choices about the

Galadriel isn’t the protagonist here anymore than Tyrion was on GOT (Rings of Power has 22 series regulars: it’s an ensemble). And again, this is based on the appendices (not books), in which she is very much present. And if your complaint is that she’s portrayed as a warrior, then your problem is, in fact, with what

I am so excited to see Jack and Tawny as Boimler and Mariner in live-action.

I’m sure they can rationalize this however they want to, but the optics are still that they’re killing the movie with a female POC lead, and given the problems WB is having with their white male stars elsewhere, it’s a really bad look.

NY Post was the one that reported that the test screenings were poor. I think they were full of shit. In the same article, they said The Batman was rated R.
