That guy should totally play Superman. I wonder what that would be like. That guy, in a Superman movie.

I see all your points, yet what I'm really getting at is that I'd like to see a higher percentage of female-written, female-directed, and/or female-starred original films as opposed to those that are written by guys, starred in by guys, directed by guys, which even if they star women they're still about guys (ugh!)…
Yes! That is my fear. "See ladies WE TOLD YOU you're not as funny as men. Now go and make your lady films, for ladies."
I love Leslie and Kate! they are both fresh and fearless. It's time to get some new blood out there. I think those other ladies would agree.
Right, there's a certain segment of the population that just categorically cannot laugh at women in comedies. This segment of the population thinks that Bridesmaids and The Heat were flops and misses the old "Jane, you ignorant slut" days on SNL. The new Ghostbusters could break box-office records and they'd still…
I have the weirdest boner right now.
I saw so many comments yesterday from people being like, "ugh, Bridesmaids was so not funny," like, please. Comedy is subjective, sure, but if 90% of people and critics are laughing and you're not, maybe your subjective opinion is not all that trustworthy...
Brb pitching that RIGHT THE FUCK NOW.
I am a male in his 30's and this idea that I need the same stuff from my childhood is weird. I AM NOT EIGHT YEARS OLD ANYMORE. I like different stuff than I did when I was 8. I don't need the stuff I liked in the 1980's endlessly recycled. I can find new stuff!
But don't you know the plan is to actually remove all copies of the originals and replace them with this new version? You'll never be able to revisit your childhood again!
Wasn't that already a movie called "Horrible Bosses" starring Jennifer Aniston?
I have one friend on Facebook who is SO upset about this remake. I want to reiterate to him that making a new one doesn't actually delete the old one. It's not like when you inadvertently save over an old file. The old one and all of its paraphernalia and memories will still exist, completely intact.
Isn't that what the Hangover is?
"9 to 5" with three men trying to kill their female boss? A FEMALE BOSS? Ohhhhhh, Judith Light? JUDITH LIGHT!
This is quite hilarious. I was born in 1983 and grew up watching the movies, the batman tv show on rerun, and star trek on rerun. I'm tired of these men's WAAA WAAA WAAAAAAAing when for most of my life nearly ALL the movies I've enjoyed and nearly all the american made cartoons I've liked are male casted with female…
This is hilarious. For the record, we have the originals immortalized on our living room wall.
DAD GET OFF THE COMPUTER
Are there any actual human beings that are upset about this, because I haven't met any?
I was honestly pretty meh about this idea until the screeching backlash started.
