it was founded on religious zealots being kicked out of their country for being too fucking crazy... and it still tracks today

I’m sorry, but this sounds really dystopian. The idea that they’ll stop at requiring speed limiters is laughable, this will definitely morph into some kind of “driving credit score” that’ll give the insurance companies so much ammo to fuck us even more.

Who would want a driverless future?! Driving automobiles, especially those with manual transmissions, is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Other than city/airport people-movers like elevated trains and/or monorails, I’ve zero desire to ever drive, ride in, or otherwise use an automated vehicle; almost as egregious

I have a plan...

Drive that slow on some highways in west Texas and you’ll get plowed down like a bicyclist in Florida.

Also, considering the amount of shooting death on American roadways schools, malls, workplaces......you’d think making cars slow down sensible gun regulations wouldn’t be the worst idea anyone has ever come up with

This will make the used car market explode.

Jeep’s 4.0. There isn’t an exhaust out to make it sound good, and it’s impossible to get any power out of the slug that it is. But it’s bullet proof. It can take a ton of abuse and keep going. It’ll run on almost no oil and be fine - ask me how I know. They can take a ton of miles. Will the rest of your Jeep be as

Kuniskis explained it pretty clearly. Product differentiation is how Dodge was able to keep Charger/Challenger sales at or near the top of the segment year after year even with an old platform. Plus, the product quality has been very good if you believe J.D. Power.

Have a 2 car home. Have an "act of god" destroy both.  Pick up 2 new cars and get offered 0% for 3 years     take the free money but you end up with $2200 a month in car notes for 3 years.  Not a stress just a fact of rising costa.

If you're never going to have a car payment over $400, you better be saving up for a huge down payment, or planning to never have another vehicle once that lease is over.

seems smog issues are the most likely thing to kill cockroach toyotas :( once its down to $1500 value, the govt will buy/crush.

thats why i got a 2006 toyota, new. only the brakes, tires, fluids/plugs/filters. less than $1000 total since then. labor mostly mine.

Once you agree to buy something, its future value is irrelevant.

But a new car lasts longer than a repair on an old car.

A car loan is also borrowing money to buy a depreciating asset” Don’t let a Dave Ramsey talking point become a rule or a law.

I was going to say something about how shocking it is that Tesla and Tesla models weren’t toward the top of the list... but then I noticed that Tesla wasn’t included at all in their list of manufacturers. Being in and around Tesla community pages/forums, it’s really hard not to assume that most owners are
