The newer they are, the less room you'll find in the engine bay. I agree it's so very tempting. The £235,000 contental flying spur has been spotted selling for less than £35,000. But I've heard horror stories from owners of £1,200 bills for replacing the bonnet catch sensor (full disassembly of the front) and even

When it comes to Bentley's though, a gentleman needs the oof to keep one of the old gals on the road though. Any repair that your chap might have to make requires disassembly so complete as to prick up the ears of Ikea employees upto 100 miles away. The saying, "If you can't afford two, do not buy one." could well

What's wrong with having the wheel on the correct side? Toodly-pip!

I had the exact car pictured, a 1.4l GT 4-door in white. Still the most fun car I've had so far, you could just throw it in to any kind of corner like a manic & it would lift it's rear wheel and happily oblige, point the front tires in the desired direction of travel and floor it. Ditto. Drifting is silly, but this is a great video nonetheless.

My old 1.4l car (also French) had 0-60 >10 seconds and merging in at 70+ has been no issue. And it returned 50uk/40us mpg.

Now playing

I don't know what dark magic they've performed, but the V6 sounds amazing. Better than the V8 somehow, which sounds a little too refined by comparison.

I love the Ferrari gauges from this era. Sadly missed!

If I ever make a fortune, this is the sound on which it will be squandered!

Not only the best sounding clip ever, but good god, you need some sizeable metallic spheroids to drive it like that in those conditions! Bravo sir!

Glorious! I think the Ferrari Victory by Design might be my evening's viewing for some classic engine notes! :)

Tiff teaching Sir Pat to slide so he can drive Sir Stirling's cars? This is verging on too much cool!

I've read the judges summing up and while Hales was certainly unlucky, from a legal standing the judge was clear that Hales was the architect of his own demise. A couple of things-

While the 8C Competizione is certainly a sex-beast, I think for gorgeous, we must go to the source: The 193x 8c 2900 Berlinetta Touring.
