Swap in a 600cc 2 stroke snowmobile engine with a turbocharger. An easy 200+ horsepower and you would still be legal in Japan. Imagine the power-to-weight ratio.
Not for me. My SKS legally only holds 5 rounds in Canada, so a 1000 rounds would take a while. One 1200 round crate lasts me a year of plinking around.
I don’t know what ammo prices are like where you live, but in Canada I can buy the 7.62x39 ammunition the AK uses for around $0.25 a round.
