Eh, it’s good for what it is. And I say that with a large contingent of Mexican-Americans in my extended non-bio family. Given a choice between the Chipotle and the taco truck that are equidistant from my office, I’ll go to the taco truck every damned time (I swear, the air around it smells like my godmother’s

The only thing I’d feel okay about judging is if a couple went so far above their means that they ended up putting themselves or others in debt. That seems detrimental and unnecessary.

I had a friend who chopped up lettuce in hers to dilute the calarie count. It tasted fresh

I judge. But you WIN.

didn’y Chipotle removed pork from its menu?

It was filler to make more guacamole and it would be less calories (the lowfat kind) than using the same amount of avocado.

Agreed.

That’s the theory, but a lot of their “humanely sourced” beef is imported from Australia, so it’s not so good at the sustainable part.

Also, I live in PA. Taco truck fare is something to be skeptical of. Not everyone lives in a place with good mexican food.

Amen to this. The increase in J.Crew’s prices seems to be inversely proportional to the decrease in quality.

This came up another time in another Chipotle thread: chipolte meals are expensive ish if you eat what you get as one meal. If I get chipotle, I know it’s going to be two meals worth. So $7 for two meals? Not great, but not bad either.

I was hanging out with friends last night and we made a huge batch of guacamole with 12 avocados. Me and two other people polished off half the bowl before we realized we had to like, slow down and save some for the other people that were coming later. It was glorious. We didn't have to worry about running out so we

This thread has driven me to go for Chipotle tonight. It helps that it’s the closest food establishment to my house.

I live in Los Angeles. If I want that kind of food, I can get it cheaper from any of a plethora of taco trucks.

Tomatoes have no place in guacamole. Well, not mine anyway. Please. Garlic, lime (lots of lime juice), sea salt, a few chili flakes and voila. Great, now I want guac.

Pineapple. Hrm. Very finely chopped and in a reasonable amount, that could be pretty interesting.

Nah, that’s a myth. Exposure to oxygen is the problem, and the tomatoes don’t have anything to do with that.

No cilantro or lime zest? I'm disappointed in you chipotle

This is pretty close to my guacamole! I love tomatoes so I include them too, but I think it probably makes sense for Chipotle to keep it simple so as to appeal to a wide audience... plus the tomato salsa is right there if you want to add it.

We all just got charged $2.95 for reading this.
