Exactly. That was the message that we were given. Fat made you fat. Sugar wasn’t really even discussed except in fringe, hippie-style fashion.

I had an argument here last week with someone who basically said women who put too much time into their makeup/hair should spend that time writing a novel.
Putting make up on on freshly bare, washed skin is a bad idea.
