I call Talbots the 1% store, but not for any economy related colloquialism...it's because there is literally 1 thing out of every 100 that I look at in there that I'd wear. And often that thing is fantastic.

Well, shit. This was the first I'd heard about Piperlime. I didn't order from them often, but they'd have a good 30% off "anything" coupon a few times a year and that got me a great deal on a Clare Vivier bag once. And a Marc Jacobs dress. Not really many places you get 30% off current in-season stuff like that.

Agreed, it's so frustrating when the "answers" to issues that are inherently about perpetration reform (hey I made up a new phrase!) end up being based on more violence and push away from the epicenter of blame. Which is...predictable? But still so damn frustrating to me!

Speaking of religious terrorism, what's her reason for not coming down hard on the Westboro Baptist Church?

"I worry that having NO professional online presence will lessen future opportunities in my field."

Sorry, I didn't even see that.

I get your sentiment, but the OP was talking specifically about women in the media. Meaning women who blog, women on the local and national news, women who write for sites like Jezebel and Gawker. Any woman who has a media presence.

Oh FFS, gun propaganda aside....why on earth would the "answer" to any of this befall the person it's happening to rather than the person doing the harassment and the authorities, who should start by not ignoring it?

File under things that are true, funny and scary all at once!

It's weird how this happens. All your words were there. And in the right order, and everything. WTF?

Well, if someone is famous enough, it doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman. The higher the fame is all that matters in that scenario.

It's never enough. :(

I had to google that, I'd never heard of it before. I learned something new! And I can only imagine that it would be very irritating to watch a show where someone does that. Let alone real life situations!

It feels weird to say, "I'd like to think that's true!" but even so, I don't think it would be true.

Wow, I know this happens all the time, but it still makes me angry every time I read about it. I'm so sorry, Anna. Nobody deserves that kind of bullshit.

Wow, I hadn't even noticed that!

Or he committed to it before he realized he could actually act? Or it's the money. It's always the money.

Wasn't he, though?

I really liked Jamie Dornan in The Fall. I also really, really liked the scruff/beard.

I hear what you're saying.
