Certainly looked/felt that way with enough hints to suggest it. I thought Carol set it all up (trapped the dog who Daryl said never gets stuck in the traps) so give Daryl and Henry something to connect with. It was weird that she saw what was going on and then kept it a secret. But they never went back to that so maybe I just guessed wrong.

Ahh, that may be it. I saw it in theaters and had known ahead of time that they cut it from the main movie. They kind of showed it a bit during credits/mid-credits but the spot that it was supposed to be in the theatrical release was removed. So maybe you saw an extended version or just the credits version.

Yea, the Sony hack where emails came out and we found out about plans for a huge dance number (that was sent to the credits instead of actual movie, thankfully) and ghosts from outer space just made a lot of people confused about what they were actually doing with the franchise.  There was backlash and fan complaints…

The dance number was cut from the movie, though. Which makes it even stranger why the villain would “freeze” all the cops like that in a weird position lol.
