"Christ says that what God has brought together let no man separate, but I say, this: what if you are unhappy in any way?" - Reverend Cannon

I'll be Sausage Dick.

Actually, a survey of 1,000 people is almost as close to perfect as you could ever want in generalising the characteristics of a large population, as long as they were chosen randomly from that population.

Am I the only woman who doesn't think pictures of babies are cute? I'd agree with cute animals, maybe flowers and the beach, but babies? Nope. That doesn't boost my mood, it grosses me out.

i mean, jason will never be able to do better than the goddess that is britney jean spears, so he might as well get weird with it and drop all the way down to kris jenner.

Same. It didn't help that he's just my parents' age and has starred in movies that both they and I like, and that he was kind of always there when I was a kid, but everything I've heard about him since his death pretty much confirms that he was basically the person I'd always thought he was - funny, kind, sensitive,

Oh, man, and her link to Lisa Jakub's piece about Robin Williams writing to her school after she'd been kicked out:

God, it's almost Pavlovian at this point. I see "X remembers Robin Williams" and... tears. Because I know it's going to be some wonderful story about what a kind, caring, cool, funny, lovely man he was. And, he's not here to hear how much people adored him. The pain he must have felt just rends my heart.

I went to school with a guy like that, he was in full hyperactive clown mode all the time. I jokingly said he must go home and just sit in bed and cry. I think that's closer to the truth than I want to believe.

Robin Williams death hit me hard. I loved his comedy but I've been affected by depression personally as well as with my sons. It's horrible. And I've been going through a rough time..... and you see someone like him who you think has all the advantages. If he can't handle things.... how can I?

I was tricked, I cried way more!

My friend is a pop culture illustrator (a thing!) and she just made this amazing print of Robin Williams' most iconic roles. It really made some childhood memories come flooding back.

If you don't want to cry more, don't read Lisa Jakub's story that is linked in Wilson's article. It's just one more poignant reminder of Robin Williams' kind, giving nature. :')

I normally am not supremely effected by celebrity deaths, but Robin Williams' has really done a number on me.

Sobbing after reading the Mara Wilson piece. I'm surprised at just how much I've had my heart broken by RW's death.

ooohhh would watch that tape

The problem is that they're using protection of children as the premise for the request that the VMA's change the content of their program. It's not MTV's job to decide what content is appropriate for children and limit themselves accordingly; it's parents' job to make that decision, and to either limit their
