A simple google search will reveal numerous articles demonstrating otherwise. Youth are particularly vulnerable to suicide contagion to media suicide; granted, real versus functional suicide has a greater effect but stories like this one wherein the suicide is depicted as an escape have higher correlated incidence.

So weird because when my husband first told me, that was my first thought. It just seemed like he had his shit together enough for it not to be a suicide or overdose. But yeah, found dead in a bathroom with a band around his neck, while on tour... seems like the most likely scenario in my view. Still love him either…
