CNG & LNG are really the way of the future for municipal heavy trucks and busses. We have a very well developed distribution of NG, and many municipalities now have fueling stations. It’s clean burning and we have hundreds of years of supply. And, current engines adapt very well to it.

Private consumers can make that choice, it’s their money and they can do what they want with it. Governments have no such leeway, or shouldn’t, it’s not their money and they need to spend it in the most efficient way possible, given practical considerations.
