Look *behind* the numbers, my friend. NJ is losing higher wage earner and the wealthy in droves. They are being replaced by first generation immigrants (legal and illegal) who are being supported, in part, by the State. So the increase it actually making things worse, that spike on your graph that began around 2008

No, just no. The minute you open that Pandora’s box of “taxation per road mile” it’ll grow like weeds.
I don’t want to be taxed on gas to begin with. Look, I pay Property Tax (Local and County), Sales Tax, Road Tolls, Federal Income Tax and State Income Tax, there’s enough fukkin’ taxes already so we can barely see

Yep, another reason why NJ is losing residents at an alarming rate. The State has nothing to offer but misery anymore...such a shame, it used to be so nice.

Here you go...from the internet of things...

That’s been my experience. I don’t think birds have the ability to judge speed in the air. They always fly along until the very last second then take crazy evasive maneuvers, usually when it’s too late. I wonder if it’s because the aircraft is so big they don’t see it as a natural threat. Then comes the inevitable

As a pilot who has flown both propeller and jet aircraft, I have never heard or seen this said about the swirls for bird strike protection. In fact private aircraft do not have those swirls for propeller or jet propulsion.
And, birds, for some strange reason, can’t really tell how fast you are travelling anyway, I’ve

Nice! I also replaced the front wheel bearings at about 130k mile, and did the timing belt at 100k. But I consider those things wear items since they have a wearable service life.
Looks like the 100 Series will be around a long time!

Sure...substitute “tranny” (short for transmission), with “Caitlyn”, who is Caitlyn Jenner, the guy who wears dresses. In other words, a transvestite or tranny for short.

“But the annoying orange with an automatic Caitlyn? “

Yep, I read it was designed to go 250k miles without a major failure. So far that’s been the case, needing only (religious) routine maintenance and replacing wearables. Only exception to that rule was the starter, they have bad brushes so I did replace it at about 90k miles, and the muffler at 155k miles, but I live

I’m in the same club. I have a 1999 Lexus LX470 I bought new. It has 161,000 miles on it and it’s had nothing but regular maintenance and replacement of wearable parts (brakes, tires, etc) It still essentially looks and operates as it did new.
Now, it’s always been garaged and has had an impeccable life of washing and

Jerries* :)

“Real car people dont need to read the owners manual.”

“Real car people don’t eat food or drink water. They eat rubber and drink 10W40.”

Don’t forget the safe space needs soothing Katy Perry music and trained koalas to calm fractured nerves!

They don’t want to get the point. They aren’t missing it, they are ignoring it.
I gave up long ago trying to speak to reason here, all that will happen is you’ll get spit on and called horrible names from the tolerant intolerant.

I’m with ya brother, all this politcical, slanted BS showing up on Jalopnik is terrible. If we want to read about politcal stuff, we’ll go to a raging political website, you know, like Foxtrot Alpha...I mean, BuzzFeed.

“Cool story. I suggest you find another automotive website then. FA has been part of Jalopnik Gawker (defunct) since 2014.”

Um, he doesn’t have 30+ years of shadetree wrenching like some of us do...

I broke a lot of things that I should not have back then. Now, not so much.

This. All day.
