This seems more or less like coaches for fighting games. Looking for someone who can teach you and, in the case of co-op team stuff like OW, help you along the way doesn’t seem that awful...

As much as I love some fan games out there, I’ve never thought it wrong for a dev to want to shut one down. If anything, it just makes me wish those talented people would use that momentum for their own original stuff.
No, because porting a game takes additional work. So you aren’t ‘compensating’ all of that by buying one version.
