Zagreus: “What’s that you got there, Charon?”

I think Steve’s alright. The trap attacks are pretty fun, and the costume variety’s pretty neat. At least to me, he seems a bit stiffer than the other characters (probably intentional since he’s a block man). The mechanics are a little weird to me as well, but I also have problems with Hero with his mechanics. I also

I’ve been playing and enjoying this game so much that I guess I just hadn’t noticed. But, you guys are right! Everyone is pretty hot!

I’ve heard all the stories and articles about Sakurai’s constant work and the stress that he’s put himself under. It’s another thing just seeing how openly tired he is on a video, especially with it seeming like this implementation was harder than the average fighter. Please just let him and everyone else working on

My favorite little detail was in fighting Theseus and the Minotaur, and Theseus pointed out that I had the item Yarn of Ariadne that I picked up from the Well of Charon. Apparently, that was the yarn that he used in the maze when he fought the Minotaur.

I respect this argument. Super Mario Sunshine is a game that tries to be different. Sometimes that’s good (island setting, creative levels like Ricco Harbor and the levels without FLUDD), and sometimes that’s bad (weird voice acting, tedious missions like the timed one with cleaning all the goop on the beach). For me,

I usually play good in RPGs (KOTOR, Mass Effect, Fallout, etc.) to better align with my ideals, although I do spurn that occasionally in these games when I want to off an annoying character or make sarcastic jokes. I have been playing as evil in SWTOR to better embody Sith characters I’ve created and did high chaos

Holy shit, this sounds amazing! I’ve been looking for a historical strategy game outside of my occasional replays of Civ IV. It also sounds like it shouldn’t be as hard to get into as other strategy games, which has been somewhat of a problem in the past. Really great review!

Yeah, I loved the first two Fallout games, so I got Wasteland 2 for about $20 a while back. I just kind of felt frustrated with it as I didn’t really like the combat being more tactical than Fallout, and the writing, as you point out, being obsessed with cursing to paper over mediocre dialogue. It’s a shame, because

I'm a fan of the Batman: Arkham games, so this announcement gave some mixed emotions for me.

Now playing

I’ve been fond of this theme ever since I got the remake on the Switch.

I’m a big Mario fan, but I don’t want to just put Mario games for all three slots. So, I’d say Super Mario Galaxy 2 (my personal favorite Mario game), Super Metroid (if we’re counting Metroidvanias), and Shovel Knight.

That's fair. I'll think about it.

I haven't. I have been hearing great things about it for a while now, so I might get it at some point. How's the writing? I doubt it's as reference heavy as Paper Mario, but is it still funny?

I just beat Bloodborne for the first time just over a week ago, so I can really feel how freeing that game really is. Despite being set in a diseased city hellscape, I was so involved in the game’s world, levels, bosses, and general combat strategies that I really fell in love with the game and took my mind off

Damn it, Tingle!

I just finished replaying Paper Mario: TTYD for the eighth time, I think. I don’t think I’m going to buy this game just yet, as I’ll wait to see what the overall fan reaction is first. It is good to see that this game is better than Sticker Star, as I hated that game for its weaker writing, less interesting

I don't know. I used to be a big Fallout fan, but I thought Fallout 4 was alright and dodged a bullet in not buying Fallout 76. I also was not fond of Westworld Season 1 and didn't watch Seasons 2 or 3. So, I'm not optimistic, but I hope it turns out well. I think TV is a better option for video game adpatations than

This is highly disappointing as someone who was a fan of his work. It’s just disgusting how men like him act when they feel that they have power over others. This, coupled with the IGN news today from Mitch Dyer and Kallie Plagge, makes it all feel weirdly personal to me about the seedy underbelly of video game content

I got everything but River Raid! Damn.
