Aw, man… they color-corrected the SHIT out of this.

Well, to be fair, I WOULD consider this a legitimate issue if the movie didn't look like a cheap Blade Runner knock-off, or if it weren't based on an anime about a cyborg with giant boobs. If I felt like the Major were some great, career-defining character for an actress to play, then I would be pretty annoyed that a

What really strikes me as funny about this is that the story sounds a lot… and I mean a LOT… like Green Arrow's origin story. And I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to!

Okay. I'm gonna dip a toe into this maelstrom and point out what I, as a white male non-fan of anime in general with no knowledge of Ghost in the Shell, think of Scarlett Johanssen's casting.

EDIT: That first sentance in your comment is kind of confusingly written. I initially responded to it thinking you were saying that Burr WAS in the original Japanese production.

I didn't even catch that Michael Dorn was voicing Prometheus until I saw that comment! I thought the guy sounded familiar…

The only thing it's missing is the reveal that Prometheus actually stole the Adrian Chase identity from someone else (we can pretty much assume that it's not his real name), leading up to the season-finale reveal that Vigilante was the REAL Adrian Chase all along! (Who may or may not be played by John Wesley Shipp for

Well, I'm pretty sure Willow's magic addiction wasn't meant to be taken literally, at least.

It probably would if anyone could find it.

… Who, ironically, was one of the producers on the Burton Batman movies.

You know, I'm an easygoing guy. I love James Cameron's early work, so I went and saw Avatar as soon as it came out. And it was alright! Not Jim's best work… not the masterpiece we were all promised it would be… but it was alright.

Well, to be fair, they never tried to write or direct any of the Batman films— they just teamed with producers to facilitate the making of the movies. Honestly, the fact that they DIDN'T try to force themselves into the creative process makes them a cut above most Hollywood schmucks.

Posts that… ask you… why you're doing things?

Elizabeth = Beth = Becky = Buffy?

I am curious why you feel the need to directly attack and disparage people who simply don't share your tastes in film and television. He didn't insult you; he voiced his opinion of the film compared to the series. Yet you insulted him in return… ironically, by calling him immature.

Pretty much same here, except it was the TV production values and the demon-faced vampires that kept me at bay. I thought the vamps looked stupid. (But again, I was a kid, just entering his "too cool for this cheesy monster crap" phase.)

Wow. That is quite a leap.

Is Buffy her nickname? Or her name?

I have a weird, nostalgic soft spot for the movie, because I saw it way, WAAAAAAY before the show, and I thought it was pretty funny at the time. (Give me a break— I was something like ten.)

Oh, wow… I don't think I saw that one.
