Its like he’s never heard of “The Murphy Brown Effect” of old established shows winning by default due to voters not watching anything else. The fact The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family kept winning awards a decade after their best episodes were behind them shows this still happens.

The fact that classic Simpsons is still memeable to this day speaks to its timeless nature. Once they moved away from thematic jokes to celebrity cameos and topical humour things just went downhill.
