Considering the Rockets were doomed with CP3's contract, this was really the best case scenario.  They’re both declining point guards with max contracts, but one is 4 years younger.  Giving up first round picks is really not a big deal when you’re a playoff team, and it’s definitely not mortgaging the team’s future

Living organ donor here. I hope he gets a kidney. I donated one of my kidneys seven years ago. I took up running afterward in order to lead a more active lifestyle to preserve my remaining kidney. I’ve completed twelve marathons and four ultramarathons since then. It’s horrible that the thousands of Americans waiting

What makes this extra dumb is that, assuming Concacaf wants to send 6 teams straight to the Hex, there’s already a perfect competition already set up to do it - the Nations League, and it wraps up in March 2020, which fits this timeline perfectly.

Designed to make sure the USMNT never misses a World Cup again. If things were fair, they should just join with South America to make a federation that is somewhat equal to the Europeans.

Then add Icardi, who I assume they’ll have to clear, to the above dogs breakfast of Big Names!

- everyone watching him roll around on the ground

I want to see a bunch of the biggest clubs swap major assets and(/or) albatross contracts in a single deal, because it is summer and I am bored!

A) If Pulisic doesn’t stand out to you, I don’t know man. Is he currently on par with the best players in the world? Absolutely not, but it’s pretty easy to pick him out on the field.

I’m going to lose my job as an internet contrarian for all my agreements of late, but I’m with you on this. The US was arguably competent by international football standards against their CONCACAF colleagues. This version wouldn’t have been slumbering through the hex and losing against T&T to get eliminated. There was

I am but a humble individual but I watch the beautiful game year-round and I’ve been opposed to VAR since day one. I haven’t watched much of the Copa America, but I can tell you that VAR has been more of a liability than an asset in the WWC. Honestly, I’m going to reserve my ultimate judgment on it until the next

Hey, everybody. I’d just like to pass along word that an en space, that is to say, a space the same width as an en dash, is also known as a “nut”. Bye!

Finally, a place to properly register my biggest dash-related complaint.

VAR’s going to have its fits and starts but it will make the game better over the long haul.

The price to pay for that additional level of accuracy is meaningless.

because the one thing that you and the Deadspin guys are routinelyignoring is that without VAR, the majority of this stuff was going to get calledANYWAY

This is batshit. Even in his diminished state last year, Cousins was a massive physical presence, a gifted scorer and a top-shelf passer for a big man. Despite his limitations, he played with commendable defensive effort (most of the time), and if he stays committed to giving that effort should only improve as he

Yeahs, all these ticky tack VAR calls in the WWC are really improving the game.

The “get rid of VAR” argument assumes the referees are competent and just. If they are, VAR hurts more than it helps.

I think it’s worse to have it and misuse it than not to have it at all.
