Uh, guys? Looks like Donnie got his Twitter back (yes, this is from his REAL account):

I think she’s done running, and I don’t blame her. She’ll be 73. Let the woman relax. ;)

Obama did not lose the popular vote. The last president elected who lost the popular vote was George W.

I totally get that. Honestly, I never understood why on Earth she WANTED the job at this point in her life. But then I’ve never understood why anyone would want to be president. I certainly wasn’t born for that kind of life; it’s beyond me.

That is not what I meant. I meant I was dismissing one part of America, which meant I was dismissing the “real” America (all of us).

Fallon is a total lightweight. Did you see the Hamilton doc on PBS? Fallon admitted that he had never heard of Alexander Hamilton until he saw the show. “I mean, I knew he was a guy on money or whatever...” And he *wasn’t* kidding.

Can you elaborate on that?

I hear you. But humor heals. Humor saves LIVES. It’s in the very darkest times that humor is actually the most needed, IMO.

Yeah, but he gets overly dramatic and chews the scenery too much. Maddow is always calm and steady.

Right, I mean, I’m still wondering if, inside, he’s saying, “What, holy shit, I was supposed to lose!!!!”

I know this is all lighthearted, but the thing with that line is, using racist rhetoric to court voters even if, underneath it all, you are a Kumbaya-singing lover of all mankind (not Trump), is inexcusable.

The “real America” includes all of us, for better or worse.

I do agree that it’s too late — even if he DOES tone it all down now, there’s really no walking all of that back. His followers are fully emboldened. It wouldn’t even matter if he explicitly told them to cut it out.

Yeah, but he seemed to think that WAS a blind trust. ;)

Oh, I agree. But I think he said it because he had no idea what the fuck he was talking about, and he actually thought that repealing Roe v. Wade would mean throwing women who had abortions in jail.

I couldn’t help myself. I had to watch it.

People are kinda freaking out. I think they’re grasping at straws. Remember how much people looked up to George W after 9/11? They were scared. He was the guy “in charge.” Etc., etc.

Well, people always change when they go from candidate to pres-elect. He may tone down the circus.

Lots of people are talking today about how his speech last night was so calm, loving, unifying and warm. Talking heads calling it, “The best speech he ever gave,” etc.

Watching Hardball tonight. Chris Matthews has always been a little bit of a Trump apologist. Tonight he was insisting that, underneath it all, Trump is really smart. Just, ugh. He’s “smart” as a brander and marketer, I’ll give him that. Brilliant, even.
