See, this is what I want from my TV. Not less nudity and sex because nudity and sex are bad. Equal nudity and sex because nudity and sex, even gratuitous nudity and sex, are great!

As an actor, I can’t really blame her. You get an opportunity like that, what are you going to say? No? It’s not like it’s her fault they called her up and offered a shitload of money to play a character she could ride into franchisehood. She’d be an idiot from a professional standpoint if she said “no, you should…
There is definitely one gag involving a character running through the various Japanese forms of “I” from super-feminine to super-masculine that’s pretty much untranslatable (the subtitles had to put in “I [feminine], I [masculine]”). But the story itself...ehhh. The mysticism is very Japanese, but also thoroughly…
There are only two times I’ve ever pissed off my downstairs neighbors:
So uh...the Democratic party should’ve ignored the democratic process its members participated in and crown Bernie over Hillary even after she kicked his ass by millions of votes, because Bernie generated broad support nationwide?
Toradora!
I love Kill La Kill too! But can you elaborate on how it was a smart critique? I think there’s absolutely a shitstorm of sexism surrounding the movie, but I also think James was one of the rare critics who mostly avoided it. People were quick to describe him as the poster child for online sexism when he offered the mildest, most well-explained reasons for not seeing the film.
I’ve heard his fans were asking over and over if he’d review the new Ghostbusters and the video was mainly a response to them...still doesn’t make his video any less tone-deaf or ill-timed, but it does shoot holes in the whole “man feels need to tell Internet he’s not seeing Ghostbusters” thing.
Sometimes I see these riders and I think the musicians are just having the venue owners do their grocery shopping for them.
From the moment I heard Jones was helming this film I could not imagine it being any good. Not because Jones is bad at his job—Jones is amazing at his job—but because Jones made two incredibly well-done small, thoughtful stories that weren’t quite hard sci-fi but were certainly pretty grounded stories using sci fi…
7) Actually is against Wall Street and isn’t all talk unlike Bernie.
