Honestly, I think the “better Grantland version” of this article would not exist, because I don’t see Zach Lowe devoting thousands of words to this kind of quarter-baked rumor.

Agreed, and not just the sportswriters, either – they also shed their best culture writers (i.e. Wesley Morris, Steven Hyden).

Even before I clicked it, I knew it was The Ringer. Damn, how I miss Grantland.

I agree! Some indoor summer sports could be moved to the winter to restore greater balance (i.e. boxing, weightlifting, indoor volleyball). This would have the additional benefit of opening up the Winter games to countries without snow.

I just feel bad for Boston. This must be the “all wrong universe” that Bill Simm— wait, Boogie isn’t on the Celtics? But I read it on The Ringer!
