When I lived in Ballston, I wouldn’t date outside the metro lines. You’re a super cool person but I have to drive on 95? Have a good life.

You sound like a not-crazy person, so I’m not trying to pile on at all. Just trying to emphasize: you only wanted to “get to know her” if it resulted in dating. You didn’t actually want to get to know her as a person. Like Obsessions said, unfortunately, pretty much all women have been in this situation. Have you…
Doubtful. There’s just a fuckton of harassment out there, happening silently, and there’s safety in numbers with this kind of conversation.
Dude, that’s every day, in every forum now. I don’t have that kind of time.
The insane part is that the Dems message should be inspiring! We want to get people jobs, healthcare, good education for their kids, preserve the environment, regulate businesses that take advantage of people.. where the fuck is this messaging? I’ve sent many angry emails to the DNC.
I stayed in downtown a few years ago and didn’t need a car at all. Downtown is very walkable and the light rail is great. We took it to Tempe for a day, highly recommend.
I love Better than Bullion.
Thanks for the recipe!
As someone with a history BA, I have to disagree. My writing and research skills have been hugely beneficial working in tech as a non-engineer. I’ve met many people with Humanities degrees in the tech industry. I’m so tired of hearing this kind of outdated thinking, as if the degree you get somehow puts you into a…
Why does it have to be either of those problems? Maybe that’s what they are going for.
I assume you’ve never had to worry about whether a pharmacist will hand over your doctor-prescribed medication based on what the pharmacist believes outside of work. Whether you should accept a job in a state where a senator has said that women shouldn’t have the same legal rights as men (constitutional literalists).…
Supporting the status quo is a political choice. A million things we do every day contribute (not determine) to our political climate, in ways more personally significant than chemistry. People who can ignore that are likely benefiting from what’s currently in place.
Sorry, how is an NFL game “your” time? It doesn’t sound like you’re playing, or coaching, or referreeing, or commentating professionally, owning a team.. why do you think it belongs to you?
What is the problem with departing from the stated mission? I’m genuinely curious. This sounds very similar to “stay in your lane” which is antithesis to the piece we both just read.
Dude, no one owes you that. Don’t like the content? Cool. Having trouble understanding it? Okay. It doesn’t mean no one is allowed to write it.
I’ve had a list of prepper supplies for a long time and finally just bought the first thing on it. We’re in a perpetual state of “you never know” now.
I might have missed it, but what does the 7-Up do to the biscuits? Why add it? I’m curious what the difference is.
That’s a good point. Especially if you want people to like the thing you like, which most fans do (even if it can be frustrating at first).
Agreed. And thanks for bringing up music. As a teenager, I loved going to concerts, but I couldn’t care less about the lead singer’s favorite color. I didn’t read the interviews, I didn’t learn about their lives, but I went to tons of concerts and listened to the songs in my car. That’s still being a fan!
No, it’s not anything like being a professional anything. That thinking is part of the problem: you may have watched 30,000 hours of a tv show but you still aren’t the professional with regard to it. The creators and writers are. You’re a fan just like anyone else is a fan. You don’t have some special level. (And…
