I tried to get into football as an adult and the gatekeeping is insane. It’s like they would rather you hate “their” team than become a fan at any point after birth. And the ownership that they feel is totally insane given that their participation involves sitting and watching. (Not saying all football fans,

It might have been seen that way by some, but I thought it was a pretty clear takedown of Rick and how he behaves and treats people. He was clearly uncomfortable with it because he knows it’s true and that’s why Beth and Rick spend the car ride home being defensive and ignoring the kids. Because they know they are

Does it matter how long you’ve loved a thing? It sounds like you have a totally healthy approach, I’m more just curious about what that meme is trying to say. If you didn’t find it young, you somehow automatically care less? It just seems to be saying “stay out” in a different way.

I think it’s fantastic but obviously YMMV. I’d at least watch more of the first season because it does take some episodes to get into the real story.

A+

Honestly, I find it hard to believe that not one person who uses this website has adopted a child with problems. At least, I wouldn’t feel comfortable making that declaration when I don’t actually know anyone here.

That’s true. Let’s just not pretend that having a bio kid means you won’t have to deal with unexpected problems that you might not be ready for or not even know if you “can or can’t do.” Adopting just means you might know about the problems up front (but also not a guarantee).

I came here looking for a review and was surprised they didn’t cover it! It’s so funny and leagues better than where Modern Family is now.

I used to live in Denver and they did local/county voting by mail. It was so easy and you could drop them in the mail or at local library branches, etc. I voted for so many school board positions and judges while I was there. I wish it was that easy everywhere.

Soo.. what’s it take to set something like that up? I’m not hiding from the mob or anything, I’ve just read/watched too much true crime.

I really want to rewatch Monk but I have never found it streaming on any service. I remember it as pretty entertaining.

Good one. Ridiculously sad story but would probably make a great mini-series.

I like story podcasts and tend to fall behind on anything timely (like Pod Save America). I regularly listen to:

I love Night Vale but hadn’t heard of We’re Alive. It’s going on my list!

I love podcasts but can’t get into Lore either. I’ve listened to a few and I never feel satisfied with an episode. I want to love it but just don’t.

Ugh. I mean, cool. I hoped they started as publicity for the show but.. ugh. I used to think Gwen was so fucking cool. (Also, are we unintentionally shaming her here if they really are in love? It’s good that she’s happy.)

I agree that she’ll be successful enough, but people dislike her for more than just politics. She was really into “Santa was white, kids” and she’s only spoken up for women when an issue has directly inconvenienced her (like maternity leave policies).

America loves blonde women.

There’s a reason “my gut tells me he did it” is a clear clue on a tv show that the person absolutely did not. It’s like how people think they can tell when others are lying. We like to think we can just “know” things about other people but we’re very often wrong.

I initially put it on as background noise while I was cleaning and then finished the first season in a weekend.
