Great detail. It would look like shit on me, but love it on her.

This dress is very Art Deco.

So much of this collection feels like there's a lot of detail that needs to be seen up close. At a distance, I like this jacket, but looking at a closeup, it seems quilted, or at least more textured than I'd expected.

Love this jacket. I'd have to pair it with some very sensible trousers for the office, mind you, but sure, why not. Oh, and a shirt.

Without even looking at the clothes, Dodai, I have to tell you, I love your descriptions of collections. I'd love to be a stoned heiress partying in Morocco.

"Magic 8 ball, will Steve want to sit with me at lunch today?"

I was wishing for that sepia 70s tone to the photos as well. There are a few that made me pause—the one of him walking across the basketball court, and his expression in the shot of him on the white backdrop—but otherwise, there was something not quite there about it for me. I see what he was doing, and I like the

I don't think that exists where I am, but you reminded me that I think I saw at least a copy of Petals on The Wind at a nearby thrift store. Thank you!

For me, it's the deep neckline combined with the high waistline and full skirt. It foreshortens her torso in a way that's...dumpifying. A slightly less drastic neckline would work better, at least in my mind.

*headdesking at how ridiculously elegant this dress is*

Why can I see Blake Lively wearing this, maybe about 3 years ago?

I would kill for a time machine—I'd bring this dress back in time and beg Peggy Moffat wear it. I bet she'd wear it with big chunky geometric black Lucite accessories.

See, this is a perfect example to me of where the sheer skirt doesn't work. It's less ethereal, and more "check out my granny panties; it's laundry day, y'all".

I don't like the boxy cut-out at the bodice, but dear god, that skirt. The colours are absolutely lovely!

I think this might be the nicest sheer-skirted dress I've ever seen. I'm not sure if it's lightly gathered or pleated, but I think that helps, regardless. Also, pockets. Hell yes to pockets in dresses that don't wreck the line.

I actually really like how this dress goes from sheer down to opaque at the hem. I bet it gives it a lovely swingy-ness in motion. Combined with the...er, ass-cape, there's a real old Hollywood glamour about the styling. I can't say I'm a fan of the vintage-bathing-suit line where it becomes sheer, but it's very

I feel like Pet Sounds is one of those albums people swear is awesome if they want to sound like Someone Who Knows Music. *shrug* I'm sure the production values are great and blahblahblah, but it's still the Beach Boys. Meh.

The cockles of my nerdy heart are warmed by all the D&D jokes in this post. I just wish I could think of one involving saving throws or THAC0.

Oh, the giggly post-O high-five. Been there, nearly missed that. :P

Dibs on the cleric!
