You mean the man who didn’t have a gun and was killed in cold blood? GTFO racist.

I think Lucas’ writing and directing has a lot to answer for. Imagine if we'd had this Anakin in EpII & III.

I was surprised how good he was in this. Maybe being a whiny twit in the prequels was by design, by the same guy who thought Jar-Jar was a good idea.

I mean even the Star Wars accounts are posting these on social media. If the owner of the material is posting it then it’s not really the responsibility of the journalists to hide it and tiptoe around it. The statute of limitations for spoilers is considerably shorter for TV and streaming than it is for movies.

Can I just say that seeing Hayden reprise the role so well makes me joyful. I hope it brings him back to the public and industry consciousness enough to get roles allowing him to show his range. Seeing the World Between Worlds was awesome, and Rex was a blast. I agree that the context was necessary.

This went down the way it needed to. I am normally very critical of any killing at the hands of police but in this case it’s pretty black & white. This “Sovereign Citizen” was the aggressor and earned his Darwin award, full stop.

It’s almost like they choose to ignore the entire human history of paid labor that says ownership will always sacrifice public interest in order to make more money personally.

Anti-government conservatives have successfully pushed for industry self regulation for decades and so we get what we get.

To be fair, that was all that was left.

I’m waiting to see how the next four episodes play out.

Marrok was a Dathomir Witch-magic enhanced servant. Possibly of Darth Maul’s species.

If everyone remembers, Savage Opress was created and enhanced with their magic, and when Palpatine killed him, the magic escaped his body in a green mist much like it did Marrok.

LOL I know plenty of people who haven’t moved on from 9/11, and while I don’t know for sure, I’d guess the primary reason is that we never removed or dealt with the underlying cause. Two decades, billions of dollars and thousands of soldiers’ lives later, the Taliban is still running wild in Afghanistan ruining the

Hope everyone understand the assignment come 2024.

You have to put yourself in Kennedy and Iger’s position in 2012 and honestly evaluate the state of Star Wars at that moment. I can’t fault them for the overall direction they decided to take. They HAD to do a soft reset. They had to shutter the old Expanded Universe. It was just too bloated and restrictive for telling

I think you could probably put a lot of the blame on Iger and Kennedy as well. They wanted to make Star Wars movies like in the old days, with nothing that reminded audiences of the prequels — i.e., no complex worldbuilding or political discussions — and took that mandate to literally mean remaking the OT as close as

Phew, glad we figured out why he’s polling so low with Republicans. It’s definitely because he’s not married and couldn’t be anything else!

Absolutely. The sequel trilogy was a mess for all kinds of reasons. Hyperspace being one of the lesser reasons.

in fairness, “just an expository device to have [Thrawn] explain things to the reader” IS Watson to a tee

I haven’t seen Rebels, but I’m almost hoping that Thrawn kind of feels like the competent Internal Security Bureau folks from Andor. Guy should be both charismatic and incredibly competent.
