I haven’t had the opportunity to play Zane yet, but I (assume) his weakness is a lack of indiscriminate AOE damage and survival skills? Splash damage in this game is kind of insane, especially in chaotic fights with tons of enemies. My Amara and Moze skills are crazy good at clearing rooms of normal enemies.

I think the problem is that “difficulty” as a metric is really subjective. One person’s Normal could be the other’s Nightmare. Celeste’s Assist Mode message said it best:

Android release when?

And splash damage. Torgue shotguns are beastly with her, especially the shotguns that are actually grenade launchers.

I think it depends on the context of the game and also the conversation about what the game is trying to do vs what it isn’t trying to do. Borderlands is trying to be a wacky violence party with irreverent humor but at the same time it’s also not trying to outright offend with ebonics or bad depictions of little

Nah, my brother hates Claptrap too. So much so that me and two other buddies all played as Claptrap in our combined playthrough of the Pre-Sequel

Each BL3 character starts with three different action skills that they further switch in and out and further modify via their skill trees (for instance Moze can equip weapon and amunition types on her mech, FL4K can equip an action skill and a pet, etc) and it’s a lot easier and more viable to mix and match skills

I’ve just kind of accepted "Borderlands Humor" as, like, a baseline mood setter. Like how Destiny can have some cool lore, fun little character lines, and snazzy codec entries, but most of it is just like “Right. Yeah. This is a very serious space wizard game. Got it.”

Yeah it’s hard to top TftB in that regard. Its not on the same level, but the game still switches from loud yelling to moments of earnest sweetness that are ligitimately great. (Sir. Hammerlock and his boyfriend are the standout so far in my playthrough so far.)

“It’s like playing through all your favorite memes from 2015!”

There’s someone named General Zarpidon (they make fun of her name a lot), you kill the Merrif (you make fun of his name a lot), you double-cross an AI to get an army of loader-bots, you get and destroy a giant eye laser, and then there’s a cool final/raid boss called the Sentinel.

I think it depends on the game. Its way more interesting to not have everything really straightforward and if implemented well it can be really fun (like how Destiny 2's “The Arms Dealer” Strike feels like a very Star Wars style action sequence where things keep going wrong and you’re basically making everything up on

Time is not a friend to the Borderlands games, which have largely remained stagnant as so-called loot shooters have proliferated around it. The novelty of a game that fused the steady dopamine rush of Diablo-style loot and light role-player character building with some decent shooting has now become common. You can

MLJesus died on the cross button to forgive my heated gamer moments.

“It’s wild that Bartomeu was even aware of the comments, let alone upset enough to file a police report, not to mention working under the assumption that getting called Nobita is grounds for legal recourse. You’d think that he’d have more important things to worry about in his official capacity than some shit a

I think it’s important to point out that there still isn’t a permanent PvE mode in the game and they just arbitrarily break out those modes during special loot boxes- I mean events! Special events.

Maybe Overwatch costumes for the Mii Fighters, but I don’t see Tracer fitting in too well.

It’s a half-baked understanding of theology mixed with a healing helping of zealotry and bigotry. Judeo-Christian religion has the idea that humans are fallen creatures and it’s only by God’s grace that you can be redeemed of any and all sin.
