You have to remember where you’re reading this article. So much of the mud slinging at this little kids’ show could have been predicted by one of those crystal ball carnival kiosks.

Totally agree. I posted a lot of the same stuff, before I found your post. The lore dump at the beginning was painful. So much so that even my kids got a little bored with it. They should have used that time and those images to tell the story as the episodes progressed.

The weird, halting style of animation was a huge flaw for me. Yeah, the story was stilted and the tropes were poorly managed, but the animation is what threw me off the most. There were a lot of sweet moments, amidst the oh-so-many scenes you knew were coming 2 minutes into the episode and I think the characters were

I definitely don’t condone using a child to commit a crime, but I have a feeling she’ll be telling this story to her friends when she’s older, probably at some dinner party to celebrate her newest doctorate. Kids are resilient and they learn more than we sometimes give them credit for.
