Yes, season 3 just seemed to say fuck source material, this is our budget, and we’ll do what we want with it, and I actually loved it. Not perfect, but there were some great episodes!  Season 3 is my favorite so far.

Yeah The Expanse is all around awesome, and The Magicians, probably more of an acquired taste, I would have preferred a larger budget and more faithful adaptation of the books, but I grew to love it despite an obviously limited budget, the a lot of the differences from the book actually worked ok for me.  

Yeah Lovecraft Country was rather good if disturbing, I’m really curious to see that one. 

SyFy has some pretty great shows too though, The Expanse, Being Human and The Magicians are pretty high on my list of favorite tv series.
