Diablo 3 is still always only on PC and I don’t see much people complaining anymore. They are both the same type of game. They are looters.
And like Diablo 3 at launch, Outriders is having problem with servers because everyone is getting in at the same time.
The difference is that people at the beach or swimming pool are not there to take donation and begging you for money.

That’s the thing, the game is not always online. It’s mostly a solo game with co-op feature. This is not a game as a service.

too much of a grind because unlocking character is still tied to the gacha system which is mostly random.
Without paying the 5$ for the monthly card, you get about 3.3-9k primogems per month(that is if you play every day)
this is enough to do between 20.63 to 56.25 pull.
Note that not all character are available on pull…
it’s not 3 sniper kill across 15 matches, it’s 3 “one shot, one kill” per match x 15. (so 45 one shot kill total)

The PSVR is pretty much outselling any other VR headset on the market. It reached 5 million units sold which is pretty big feat for this kind of tech.
A lot of people were waiting for a second version once the tech was more “solid”. So it wouldn’t surprise me if “PSVR2" quickly outsold its predecessor.
