I hadn’t thought about that, but you are so right...it’s amazing that in this last decade, given where we are, movies about Captain America could do so well globally.

For me Winter Soldier and Ragnarok are the best and most enjoyable of the bunch.. Though I think all three Cap movies are great. I feel like he’s definitely been the most awesomely Marvel-evoking character of all in the films for me.

Ha, nice analogy. I would say that comparison is truer comparing the 507 to the later Cobras. The 289 without all the muscle flares looks a lot “lighter” in the manner I think I understand you to mean.

I’m sure you’re right, but I will say that FYEO is the best and most realistic and naturalistic story of the Moore films for my tastes. LaLD is awesome, but it’s ludicrous.

Good question. I need to go back and rewatch. And reread. It’s been decades. I read the books in my early teens after having seen into the Moore era of films, and while Connery had been my favorite Bond to watch, I just recall watching OHMSS again after having read the books and feeling like it was so much closer than

Yeah, the 507, the 3.0C, and the E24 6 series are for me the most beautiful designs BMW ever made. The Z8 and the M1 with ground effects and tail probably come right after.

I love Connery, but I’d argue that Lazenby was much truer to the character as written in the novels. Also, long live Savalas Blofeld! Who kills ya, baby?

Counter-opinion Luthor, one of the most boring supervillains of all time, was never more entertaining than when played by Hackman. Which isn’t saying much, I realize. Crappy, crappy character.

The Rude cover was the best thing about this comic.

S1 is absolutely is one of my handful of favorite shows of all time, and one of my favorite science fiction stories of all times. I was stunned by just how equally great a second watch of it was while knowing all the secrets. The writers, directors, production folks and the actors all deserve all the kudos possible

Testify.

Shut my mouth, you actually have the first reason I’ve come across for any crossover action between BL and the (shudder) other shows. I would love all of Jefferson’s family to just spend the episode responding in character to all the stupidity.

Here hoping they never get any Arrowverse on Black Lightning.

Victory By Design is possibly still my favorite car show “by weight,” and when Speed Whatever stopped showing it and moved to all-Nascar-all-the-time I stopped watching the channel. Not that I’m the market they needed to target but man was it a bummer for me.

Listen, just because TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise weren’t remotely as good as Discovery in terms of storytelling, scripts and acting is no reason to bust on them like that.

Honestly, up until now the only actual Cable comic I have ever enjoyed was the Casey/Ladronn run that might as well have been “What if...Jack Kirby had written and drawn Cable?”. So much fun, and the two trade papers collecting them from last year are so worth owning.

Yeah, based on this article I read it and it is an excellent start to a story. I’m going to keep with this series, at least for a bit, to see how it goes.

I think it’s just so plain beautiful in creating itself of a piece so effectively that nothing feels gratuitously weird to me any more. Which is pretty wild.

TESTIFY.

That is an excellent point. Could they have slept together in her memories somehow? It’s a weird show. And I mean that lovingly.
