I’ve been a fan of The Tick since the comic was first coming out, though I think my credibility is probably ruined a bit by never actually taking the time to watch an episode of the last live-action series.

Jesus, wtf is wrong with you? Emotionally, I mean. Get some therapy or start a new drug habit, but don’t take it out on other people. Sad.
I can disagree more. With you. I thought there was no way they would do it artistic/emotional justice, and they managed to do it perfectly. A more drawn out action-fest would not have been remotely as good. My opinion, but a strong and informed one. That scene is one of the handful of most effective…
I thought the Arya/Brienne fight was the one of two false notes in this pretty spectacular episode. Why would Arya all of a sudden advertise that she was this secret death goddess to everyone around? It felt completely out of character, a moment that made no sense outside of pleasing some fans.
I have to agree. I love the whole character and performance of Bronn. He’s one of my very favorites in the entire show that I find myself rooting for, alongside Jaime and Brienne. But there was such fear and power and sadness in that scene because it was clear as it progressed that he was going took die while doing it…
How does one calculate East or West in space?
I managed to get a bunch of the Wold Newton books young after reading Tarzan and Savage books and then coming access Farmer’s Riverworld series. Not sure what is still in print, but when Planetary came out it got me to go on an Abebooks binge and find all the available (and cheap) used copies of the WD books I could…
Hell yes. I still am waiting for a Jungle Lord/Doc Brass team-up flashback issue.
He does. He also reminds me of one of my favorite Neal Adams’ covers:
Ah, yeah. I forgot about that Coates interview. Loved that too. Well, keep it up. :)
I recognize that it depends on many things including the time available from the person being interviewed, but how possible would it be to do occasional, longer-form interviews where you post a shorter, edited version as the main post and then have a link to the longer version?
Really great interview. Somehow just felt both more natural and meaningful than most. I think part of it is that it didn’t have that feel of being little more than an advertisement for some company’s product that seems to be the norm now.
Ooh, you called me “little man,” I’m going to be so incensed by your put-down. I’m going to feel so insecure, as if you have called my manhood into question.
Hey, look...the inbred, mentally-disabled Trumpist trolls are making an appearance! Since you can’t read, I shouldn’t really bother pointing out that I said, “I wouldn’t put it past them,” as opposed to saying it was what happened. But I’m going to do it anyway. Because I take pleasure each time you and your feeble…
I also wouldn’t put it past the admin and Russia to have orchestrated this whole tiny, weird, not-very-useful action to show that actually the Trump admin is not in cahoots with Russia, no matter how much shit comes out to the contrary.
I don’t know, but I definitely mean the movie that used Cannibal Holocaust as an influence. Using handcams and a couple of people in the forest is not a rip off as far as I can tell.
Yeah, there’s a lot of hate for a creative, original and effective movie filmed on a shoestring budget. It was good, and the final scene made sense and worked.
You have still provided no evidence for your opinions.
I love Black Panther as a character. I LOVE Kirby’s run on him. I LOVE Christopher Priest’s take on him. I pretty much worship Hickman’s use of him.
