Shh! People on this site, especially the staff, hate it when you puncture their heroic, selfless posts with rational evidence.

And your actual evidence for any of these 100% personal opinions?

Yeah, I really don’t understand why people don’t just use the gender-neutral word Latin.

I want the creative team to keep on doing what they are doing, to surprise me, and not to listen to fans at all. They are that good, and I don’t want their game brought down. Thank you, Legion cast and crew, for phenomenal television.

Man, I hadn’t even thought of Shi’ar. Imastillgo with Mojo, but now I think there’s another possibility. Since the movies have never bothered to introduce the Shi’ar, they could truly be fair game for a show like this.

and he turns all the guards into a giant shrieking man tower. It was actually kind of hilarious, if it wasn’t also terrifying. Can you imagine being smack dab in the middle of that? Butts everywhere.

Imago with Mojo. He’s got the tech, and fits the series as a long-term villain.

My guess as well.

Aliens that really feel entirely unknowable.

Edited ‘cause mistaken.

Alongside Blindsight by Peter Watts (though for different reasons), this is maybe my favorite science fiction of the last decade. I thought the actual writing is incredible, as opposed to so many books with decent ideas and substandard writing of language that populate sci-fi these days, including quite a lot of stuff

One of the few best sci fi books of this century, with the sequels almost as good. Truly fantastic. Can’t recommend them as a whole enough. Or juste the first one on its own. Beautifully written.

Hell to the yes. You know lonely Peter Parker would trade places with him in a hot second.

I’m 45, grew up on Burroughs through Aasimov and Clarke, and on to Banks and Hamilton and Rajaniemi, and I don’t want anybody coming near me or any kids I have a say over with this crap. The long-term experimentation alone will be a horror show, and the arms race ramifications as well as the haves-vs-have-nots

Different turning of the wheel. The story of the book series is over. Certain things stay the same and all else is in play. Did you even read them?

God bless you.

Marvel has been bashed by fans, but especially by retailers, since the aftermath of Secret Wars for all the comics without the original characters that don’t seem to be selling well. This Generations thing was all but announced as a response to the retailers and fans. So Marvel gets shit for trying new things and now

A lot of people who bash Grant Morrison’s tenure on X-Men (I’m not one of them...I think it was one of the best couple runs ever and far more essential than Joss Whedon’s fun-but-nostalgia-anchored romp) don’t give him credit for taking Scott Summers—a character that many Marvel readers actively disliked if didn’t

Holy shit yes. AND Granny Goodness. Both roles to the chiefest Baldwin.
