Thanks.
Thanks.
That’s an excellent page and vaguely reminiscent of Kevin O’Neill. Who’s the artist?
For me, the episode Over the Edge is a perfectly constructed and paced 22-minute, animated mini-film. The story, suspense and emotional impact (the betrayals!) they deliver in it that span of time is mind-blowing. I know there are other amazing episodes, but that one remains my favorite, not the least thanks to its…
Ding ding. My vote as well. Adam Warlock!
There’s reference to that Thor moment in various Marvel comics ever since. Not often, and not just in Thor titles. I assume it’s been building towards something.
Original Sin is not one of Remender’s finest creative moments, sadly. Plus, while I completely understand Marvel’s desire to have a bald, eye-patch-wearing black man going by the name Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD, in the comics, I miss the F out of old-school Fury.
Thank you.
Thank you.
These days I have to go with Natalie Dormer’s Jamie Moriarty. Fresh and awesome and effective. Sherlock’s Mo is a weaker-sauce version of John Simm’s Master, who was already plenty weak-sauce.
You are like a God for pointing this out. Showing that cold opening to people is how I generally get them hooked on PoI. Chills. CHILLS.
I wish I could give you multiple stars.
Thank you for this. I am waiting for the day that a new Justice League comics series surpasses the pure Justice League fun and purity that was Morrison’s run. Still the best modern Plastic Man usage this side of Kyle Baker for my money. And jaded as I am, the Blue Superman/Azazel page gave me a good chill. I would…
I can acknowledge the daughters were pretty interchangeable. That’s kind of a bummer. I still feel like Gru was the heart of the first movie (and clearly I enjoyed him), as opposed to the Minions. I guess they may be the reason behind why it’s a franchise and not a single movie, though.
I was really surprised not to feel this way at all when I saw the first one with my nieces. I actually think Gru is the best thing about the series, with Steve Carrell’s voice-acting and the designing and animating and writing of him by all the artists and production giving him a nice humor, villainous flair and a…
I am completely on board with that sentiment. Secret Warriors, Shield, Fantastic Four, Avengers/Secret Avengers... Secret Wars was—for my history and predilections stretching all the way back to Kirby, Lee and Ditko and before—a perfect pay-off to the most perfect saga in Marvel history for me, if no one else.…
Great reference. Thanks. It’s amazing that even though I think maybe a full third of PoI (mostly from the first two seasons and pretty much all CBS procedural-style episodes) could be cut out of the series to improve it and that I found the instantaneous, forced and awkward “I’ve always loved you” relationship between…
I only know the first four actors, but spot on! The Man in (the) Black Bolt would be a dream, as would Eva and Maximus. I’m fer it, unless it keeps Caviezel from being on the second season of Westworld.
Thank you for mentioning that.
In all honestly, the first time I’ve seen anything DC-related that has gotten me excited in a long time. It looks beautiful and fun/serious at same time. I definitely don’t need humor just for humor’s sake, but Jesus do I want some epic adventure in my superheroes once in a while. WW + WWI = WIN if this trailer is…
