Damn.... Y’all some straight haters. The man does everything y’all been saying for 2+ years straight that he can’t/won’t do and he still gets nothing but hate and faint praise.

Mrs. Godzooks is big into the twitter #Resistance to the point where it has made her legitimately depressed. I follow along, but I’m able to step back and recognize bullshit for what it is. These twitter no-nothings are just farting in the wind. I recall when the first indictments for Manafort and friend were handed…
“(and, in his case, the 18-35 white demographic, because he just didn’t do well with PoC voters)”
Sorry to burst the narrative, but I’m pretty sure Bernie Sanders got more 18 - 35 PoC votes than Hillary Clinton did. Age was a far more influential variable than everything else.
Verrit gets funnier every time I think about it. It’s the Juicero of news services.
“However, in a general election, he needed to win a great deal more than just the 18-35 demographic (and, in his case, the 18-35 white demographic, because he just didn’t do well with PoC voters).”
He did better with both these demographics than HRC, who also happened to only carry the 18-35 Dem in the GE. Your…
In a way, I think that these were really useful, because it’s important that everyone in America, not just right-leaning folks, need to get better at critical thinking / authority verification.
He would have won, actually.
Spicycriminal already addressed the dead-ender thing, but as someone who didn’t initially think “Bernie would have won” was obviously true... once all the numbers came in it was pretty clearly true.
I don’t think being above it all has been helpful. It’s nice to say and you feel better about your actions, but it doesn’t seem to win at this point in time. When we go high they cut off our feet.
I totally agree. He has a lot of incredibly stellar qualities but you can tell it’s a real charge to his ego when he gets to be the “look at me, rising above it” guy.
Obama really needs to stop trying to be everyone’s friend. It was the thing that always annoyed me about him. The right wing nutjobs are never going to change.
I’d just like to correct you on one thing. HILLARY is the reason that Hillary lost. The Democratic Party, on the other hand, is the reason that Hillary got the nomination over Sanders, and that’s the reason Trump is president.
I got caught shoplifting a damn shirt when I was about 13 or 14 years old. Know what they did? They banned me from the store for a year and called my mom. The appropriate penalty for teens stealing shit is fear and embarrassment, not years in prison.
Sanders juxtaposes “ordinary Americans” against women, Latinx and black people and the LGBTQ community as if they were different groups.
These people are either paid to do this or who knows. This website is such a joke.
Frankly, I think you’re stretching your argument thin. The juxtoposition isn’t “here’s these people, then here’s the ‘ordinaries.’”
Anne, If your story was simply making a point about the importance of the intersectionality of economic justice and social justice—an importance I’ve seen lots of evidence that Senator Sanders understands quite well— then I would fully applaud this article.
I disagree with the points raised in this article entirely. Solely based on Sanders’ ideology, brown, black, lgbtq, and any other marginalized group for that matter are “Ordinary Americans”. Trying to state Sanders meant the opposite is like saying he believes marginalized groups don’t face these “bread and butter…
