Hmm... Interesting. I used the auto spray gun setup from harbor freight. Everything I’d seen recommended a higher psi (like 45-60) and using a unit capable of a sustained 12cfm.

I’d say $1k... $300 for paint, $600 for a good compressor and spray kit... And assume you’ll have to re-buy paint if you don’t get it right the first time.

I tried painting my Fiat on my own, renting a 15cfm compressor for a couple days, even had my cousin who painted stage props for a living do the coats. It’s tough, came out with too much texture so I found a body shop to do a good $1500 job. Some shops did give me $5k plus estimates...
