Haven’t been to Wisconsin yet. When I visited nearby neighbor-state Minnesota it seemed that the name of the game there was giant beers instead of multiple beers. I didn’t see anyone order *two* 64-oz growlers... but I may just not have been hanging with the right locals.

Ah fair enough— I’m here for autopilot, it’s just not yet here for me! I DD an S2000 right now so I’m not exactly looking to hand over the reigns quite yet... but a few years from now, when my commute inevitably grows from 40 to 60+ minutes...

It’s all I can do to keep one beer from getting knocked out of my hand at a concert, but totally agree on sporting events....

Do you have any faith in those autopilot systems? I don’t feel like I’ll be ready to trust that crap for years after seeing that lane-switch accident video from last week; until a car has the ability to scan the road in front of the truck butt in front of me I think I’ll stick to manual control... gonna have to wait a

This the EV I’ve been keeping my eyes on as the first potential Tesla killer. It’s upmarket, it’s aligned with the current crossover trend, major kinks have likely been worked out, price point is about right, power and performance is good while range is OK, badge has ‘appeal’ to the wealthy early adopter clique. The

Ordering two beers at once is for last call...

It’s mocking a similar post saying the same thing about Beyonce a couple days ago :-P

Eh, I dig it. I want all social media corporate accounts to be as petty as Wendy’s.

Played right field and batted for my brother -in-law’s softball team in their *triple* header today. I hadn’t played in 15 years, and for 10 years before then.... so I’m a bit rusty at the ol stick ball. It blew me away how much they shifted for lefties... and custom shifts based on prior at-bats. One team blooped a

I’ll be giving the Rolling Blackouts CF a listen shortly; I’ve liked what I’ve heard from their singles/demos.

These sound interesting... Will check out. I’ve been listening to Japanese rock music this week. First I belatedly realized that MAN ON A MISSION released their new record earlier this month. Half stuff off singles and demo packs but fun. They sing mostly in English... here’s a song that I feel like might be about

Weight difference is “only” 100lbs actually, unless you’re in a market where you can get the 1.5L motor...

As long as we agree the pettiest move would be Boston....

That’s where with spirited but not balls to the wall driving you have to be comfortable cruising a straight at 6200 rpm, otherwise you have to drop a gear and sacrifice that half second in the turn where the car with the lower powerband can sit lower in the revs, making the car feel lacking versus the competition.

You give the South far too much credit, and the midwest far too little....

I’m a little curious where they got those numbers. Most of the tests I’ve seen for the AP2 S2Ks had 0-60 times in the mid 5 second range, with the quarter mile elapsing in about 13.8-14.0.

Everyone hip-hop head I know that’s given Daytona a full listen has called it an instant classic.

That’s only relevant if you’re in the wrong gear. The torque the S2K motor is putting out can be ‘held’ longer in the gear... and converted to power. Essentially, because you’re able to stay in that lower gear longer, you are applying more wheel torque to the ground than the car that produces more torque at a lower

It’s charming but impossible to keep in the fun zone at lower speeds— I loved the sound and spirit of it in the Matrix XRS I owned but it was highly frustrating that it was essentially mechanically impossible to keep it in the powerband.
