I brought it up as a more relevant engine to discuss when complaining about narrow powerbands and irrelevant peak HP numbers. The S2K motor by comparison has a powerband that is wide enough with plenty of torque where actual spirited driving takes place.

I can attest to the fact that “usable” is relative. With the gearing the S2K has it begs you to keep it in the high cam— you just have to keep the engine wound up. The powerband is “narrow”, but with good clean shifts you’ll never drop below 5.5K RPM, and there’s plenty of punch available from there on up to 8200 or

2380 lbs @181 HP = 13.15lb/hp

By “seriously mentor” I’m assuming you mean cut down on all their touches and time on the ball in hopes they can become 1 dimensional 3 & D cogs in an ugly drive and kick ‘system’...

Now playing

This week gave me a good opportunity to finish working through the Iceage album— which I ended up liking quite a bit. Definite ‘Walkmen’ vibes creeping in. I also finally got around to listening to the new Neko Case, which is good; ‘Oracle of the Maritimes’ is spectacular in particular.

Just seeing that poor kid’s face in the first picture has me thinking a big ‘ol bag of ‘nope’ when it comes to actually watching that video. Jesus it’s so messed up... hope he can move past this horrible experience without being scarred for life.

I mean, how cool can any villain or ship or anything be if the answer to every problem is either physical manifestations of the force over light years away or simply turning a ship in the right direction and jumping to hyperspace? I enjoyed watching it but TLJ warped the lore into a nonsensical amorphous blob... and

Yeah, sometimes I think the diction she chooses is as much about the rhythm (29 creates a nice alliteration) and here I’ve read it 4x trying to grok... so hey, success! Angelou is awesome... you can’t force feed me Morrison or Faulker... not enough payoff for the painfully necessary analysis.

Goddamit Maya, why you gotta be all dense and cryptic? I know 29 means something.... (high school flashbacks)

A good counselor helps you see the things within yourself and your thought processes that are stressors or causes of your depressed mental state— obviously chemical imbalances aren’t captured as well. They’re a guide— not a cure. Those problems and stressors exist whether or not you have a counselor/therapist; and

Doesn’t matter what industry, how people treat the people serving them reveals their true character. Some people are just dicks, clearly.

Or if we go out another sig-fig beyond the decimal point:

Here’s the best-case scenario for rounding (from the CX-5 perspective).

The escape is also essentially on a Focus-sized platform, versus the large platform of the Fusion. Better comparison would be Focus hatch versus Escape— at which point you’d be looking at 26/36 instead of 23/34.

What’s funny is they’re underrating the two cars to make the CUV look better:

Guy walked to work was story I heard. Now he drives in a nice little midsize sedan with low operating costs. Guaranteed he’s happy with a very thoughtful thank you gift. I see no problem, only a blessing for a good Samaritan.

Warriors need an enforcer... shouldn’t be green; he’s too critical on D. Pachulia maybe... somebody takes a swing at curry/durant/thompson/green/iggy... send in the goon. Offensive flopping to draw foul... send in the goon.

Every scoring play for both teams goes through THE RIM. MVP!MVP!MVP!

I’m okay with calling this a charge if we start applying the “charge” rule any time a player lowers his shoulder or sets up an elbow as a stiff arm and barrels into a defender in correct defensive positioning.... AKA the offensive move LeBron falls back on repeatedly over the course of every game. Those are basically
