I very much hope I’m wrong about this, but this sure sounds like they’re sidestepping her sexuality onscreen again. And after the way America Chavez was handled, I’m finding the constant reassurances of “don’t worry, we’ll get there” to be less and less convincing!

When I saw the film, I remember seeing her Kung Fu teacher appear out of nowhere after the raccoonie moment, happily eating her cookie without any form of entrance or fighting. I was like, oh she was there too? I kind of figured at that point the final fight scene was trimmed down.

I worked in a grocery store as a kid in the 80's, couldn’t tell you how many times I grabbed a handful of raw ground beef, put a little salt and garlic on it to make a snack. Surprised I never got sick.

Generally articles such as these promote an impractical sterile mindset about food. The reality is that there’s a degree of acceptable filth in our food. Imagine how expensive food would be if it were all perfect or sterilized. The acceptable yield would be so small and we’d have a incredibly small food supply.

I’m a little confused by the garnish one. It gets put into a glass that you drink from. Wouldn’t you be at risk just using that glass (from the glass itself, the liquid that has now touched the garnish or from the garnish touching your lips when you take a drink)? Agreed on most points about the importance of character-based storytelling in the series and I loved it for that reason.

In the case of the sliced helmet, being able to do it with the original live actors and characters and cinematic production quality is easily worth a bit of redundancy with one of the animated shows. When they did Ahsoka’s scene they couldn’t have dreamed there would be such an opportunity.
