I worked in a grocery store as a kid in the 80's, couldn’t tell you how many times I grabbed a handful of raw ground beef, put a little salt and garlic on it to make a snack. Surprised I never got sick.

Generally articles such as these promote an impractical sterile mindset about food. The reality is that there’s a degree of acceptable filth in our food. Imagine how expensive food would be if it were all perfect or sterilized. The acceptable yield would be so small and we’d have a incredibly small food supply.

The glass & ice probably has more microbes than the garnish which is sitting in brine or alcohol.

I’m a little confused by the garnish one. It gets put into a glass that you drink from. Wouldn’t you be at risk just using that glass (from the glass itself, the liquid that has now touched the garnish or from the garnish touching your lips when you take a drink)? This is fantastic.

Al Gore and Hillary Clinton both won the popular vote. People came out and voted for the candidate they wanted as president. The people spoke. The people don’t matter.  Stop blaming civilians for subversions of Democracy. 

You didn’t turn out for Al Gore because he was boring, so you got 8 years of Bush and Alito instead. You didn’t turn out for Clinton because her emails, or she was “shrill” or something. So you got four years of Trump, with Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett instead.  So now there’s a fascist coup still underway. And…

Eh, I think it is easy to forget now that KOTOR was actually ridiculously bugged when it first came out and there was content that you could easily miss out on the game because of those said bugs. In addition the final stretch of the game is... I would say odd, although there are some nice stuff there.

Man, KOTOR was a fantastic game from start to finish.  KOTOR II feels like someone wished for a sequel on a monkey’s paw, and the curse continues to this day.

As an American, I’m still trying to wrap my brain around the idea that a city actually took time to build spaces for pedestrians and cyclists instead of just saying “fuck you, get a car”
