I’m starting to think The Simpsons isn’t going to end until one of the main cast is unable to work anymore. The idea of getting out at the top of their game is a shipped that sailed long ago.

that’s comparing apples to oranges, peak Simpsons was a full-on satire of American families and society at large. It dealt with much bigger themes and ideas.

Speaking of, I love how Louise has picked up Bob’s “Oh my God.” She let it out a few times when dealing with Mr. Frond.

Yeah, peak Simpsons is something really special. Bob’s is always good but rarely as laugh out loud hilarious.

Mr. Ambrose is easily my favourite recurring  adult character (best recurring kid is obviously Zeke).

Disagree on the Simpsons in comparing quality. Simpsons at its best was consistently great and though I don’t think they’re as consistently great, S2 and S3 aren’t nearly as slack as a lot of their reputations suggest. Season 1 is spotty at best. There are a few episodes that are worth revisiting, but the show really needed to get a handle on Bob, Linda, and especially Tina before it became the show it is. I usually tell people to start with “The Belchies” if they’re interested in the show.

Bob’s constant exasperation with his family’s antics gets me every time.

Why the hell can’t Tina be Trump’s lawyer? She’d spill everything to Mueller within 2 seconds, which is 3 seconds quicker than Guiliani would on Hannity.
