As a die hard fan, I can only say it’s a damn shame Chris Carter wasted what was left of the fans’ goodwill and the best efforts of the other writer/directors of season 11 (which was largely pretty good) with that complete garbage premiere and finale. All the years he’s had to come up with an interesting new mytharc…

So bummed its only a 30 minute special and not another season. This was such a great show in every way.

I highly recommend finding a list of the Darin Morgan episodes. He’s by far the weirdest and most meta of their writers. Every episode he did, including the one from the revival, is among the show’s best.

I wish Morgan worked more. I’d put the guy in my top five television writers, and he’s got five non-X-Files writing credits in the last 20 years. I’ll mourn the loss of him more than the show.

Sometimes... dead is bettuh.

So, Im just going to think of these as the gas-leak seasons, and aside from the one Darin Morgan episode per season, ignore them.
