One of the many reasons I love it so.

Sophie?

Hurray!

:(

Clearly they haven't been talking to a lot of viewers like me, whose fondest and most improbable wish for GoT is naked dude fanservice.

Wall! by Tom Snout

Not all facial hair can be Stan's facial hair.

Goddammit.

I'm a 24-year-old straight woman with a strong preference for an open relationship, and I was really siding with Patrick in this fight. I'm having trouble picking apart my problems with the way Kevin was making his case, but I think a big part of it was that he was telling Patrick how he should feel. And he kept

YES we do not need to start trashing all open relationships here just because Kevin is not right for Patrick/the literal worst. Thank you for responding more politely than I would have.

I got an Oversharing Corner notification for this?

Maybe the missing piece here is that straight people are also terrible at monogamy?

He's asking for something which is theoretically quite different from an open relationship, that they attempt monogamy but face up to how bad he is at it and take the inevitable cheating in stride. Asking Patrick not to view steam room hand jobs as a big deal and asking him to actually approve them seem qualitatively

I actually think the assumption of monogamy is a pretty bad part of straight culture. These are really useful conversations to have, even for people who are looking for monogamy (which not all straight people are).

Megan was obviously way out of line and speaking from a very narrow, selfish perspective, but I buy that within their family she gets more parental pressure and interference in her life. I can see her having always been under more pressure to be "good" because of gender, and then as their parents become less involved

I miss Please Like Me so much! The bad breath line reminded me too.

I'm also waiting for the other shoe to drop regarding Jon and Kevin's breakup. Kevin may well have dumped Jon, but it seems tainted by the likelihood that the catalyst was Jon being angry/suspicious after Patrick's speech.

'“Looking For Glory” is a bomb shelter designed to honor the force of Patrick’s infatuation while protecting us from feeling it ourselves.'

Maybe it's time for me to reread it. I miss Topaz. Or maybe I should try one of her other books. I've only read that and The Hundred and One Dalmatians. I just recently read Christopher Isherwood's The World in the Evening, and was tickled to find that it was dedicated to Dodie Smith and her husband, so I don't think

!!!!! I love the shit out of I Capture the Castle! That is all.
