I’d be gobsmacked if his multiple declarations against modern science in recent months didn’t have something to do with it.

I’ve never listened to Joe Rogan, and frankly, I never will.
I agree. The first one could have been trimmed a little and would still have gotten the job of establishing an alternate timeline done.
I agree - the world is ready for full penetration in a Star Trek film.
I know what most Trekkies think of the Kelvin movies. I personally felt the first one was a bloated origin tale and the second one a big mess of disasterporn built around Cumberbatch as not-Khan. But Simon Pegg and Doug Jung righted the ship again with Beyond, which didn’t have any lofty ambitions besides just being…
Sadly, less Anton Yelchin.
“Star Trek 4 will reunite Chris Pine, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban with the Starship Enterprise.”
It’s a dumb take, that’s as old as John Stewart’s tenure on TDS: “Why can’t this one guy, with barely any power, do all these magical things I want him to?”
Really? They were doing Raven’s origin story, and they chose to have her start off as a sheltered, awkward, baby-fat teen. The actor might have been miscast for what fans wanted as Raven, but I don’t she was a bad pick for what the writers of Titans wanted.
I think truly bad actors in larger-budget shows (that actually make it past pilot) are a rarity. Titans had a solid cast. Ritchson was certainly at or near the top, but I felt that most of the actors showed up and did exactly what the writers and directors wanted them to do.
Diop would be incredible as Storm.
I actually agree with you 100%. It’s the scripts and overall showrunning that’s really made the show stink. It kills me because it could’ve been an amazing show (I’m a Titans megafan... particularly the Perez era).
Bill Murray’s insult to him backstage at SNL (which gave me my screenname) may be the most insightful thing that’s ever been said about him. He’s done some great stuff, no doubt, but his entire career has been a repeating theme of coasting on his initial SNL fame, followed by one hit, then coasting on that for a…
Chevy Chase basically does some version of this interview (link below) every few years, in part as a way to wonder aloud why he isn’t getting work. He also trots out that line, “I know who I am, I like who I am” and then wonders why that doesn’t fix everything. Why isn’t Chevy Chase getting work? Because there are…
In the one ring dot net chat tonight, anti woke showed up in chat and made racist comments. The chat had to be shutdown. So much hate. What a sad world we live in.
At the risk of starting a huge flame war, I’ll say this: Yeah, looks pretty cool.
and tune in on weekends for Wait, WAIT! Don’t Clobber Me.
As long as it doesn’t interfere with episodes of All Things Sinister Six
Marvel should really do a podcast called Allfather, Thing Considered
