You can get AWD on the Escape Hybrid. It uses a driveshaft instead of an electric motor. You can’t get the PHEV Escape with AWD though because the battery is too large for the driveshaft. However its sibling the Lincoln Corsair combines PHEV and eAWD. The reason why we don’t get either PHEV or AWD in the Maverick

It is strange as I leaned towards the hybrid but would’ve preferred awd. Now that Ford pulled the odd switcheroo, I don’t mind the ecoboost awd being the base trim now.

This is a best case - They replace the 70 series with a heavy duty 300 series chassis and offer it in various wheelbases and cab styles. We would only get one which would probably be closest to the 76 series.

That car is beautiful. We had an 82 sedan bought new that my dad used to let me shift gears for him from the passenger seat when we were on the back roads. Unfortunately it rusted out before I was old enough to drive in it.

My second car was a GL wagon manual. A very trusty car in the Winter, but that anemic engine made any hill climb a bit of an adventure. Especially on I-70 west of Denver.

Normally when faced with these kinds of things, I just move on to another store, but I was feeling a bit spicy that day and wanted to pin this guy down  with the actual regulations. Also, I got a blog out of it. 

As a British-American it’s always really fun to watch Americans foam at the mouth about the British monarchy. Like, do you hate them or wish you were them? You don’t live there, why care?
